A framework for changing the system around the child.
Safer environments.Stronger childhoods.Better stories.
Supporting young performers makes stronger productions.
Good Ship brings specialized child safety expertise and support to the creative process - helping teams navigate the unique considerations of working with children with confidence, clarity and care.
We change the environment, not the child.
Good Ship supports & strengthens the system so minors can participate safely, meaningfully & creatively.
The result
A child-centred, trauma-informed environment where adults hold responsibility for safety and minors can thrive.
Children experience the world differently from adults, and professional productions are no exception. When we build an understanding of their needs into the way we work, we can make an enormous difference to a young performer's experience — while making the process better for everyone involved.
Every production brings together specialists. Children deserve one, too.
From intimacy coordinators to stunt professionals, productions rely on specialized expertise to support complex creative work. Good Ship brings that same intentionality to the experience of minor performers- with a dedicated professional whose focus is their safety and wellbeing.
Build safety into the production — not around a problem after it happens.
